Brazil 

Tourist Visa requirements: ​

  1. Passport: Original, signed passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity (at least two blank pages for the visa)                                                                           

  2. Passport Photo: Photo size MUST be 2 inches X 2 inches                                         

  3. Letter of Authorization. A completed and signed Letter of Authorization form authorizing VisaJet to handle your application with the Consulate. This form is available Below.                                                                                                    

  4. Proof of Status. Copy of the front and back of valid Permanent Resident Card or other proof of legal status in Canada (such as study permit, work permit, refugee/protected person status document)                                                                

  5. Yellow Fever Vaccination. A copy of the International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) for yellow fever is required if the applicant has traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following yellow fever endemic areas. To learn more about the yellow fever vaccination or to locate a vaccination clinic, please visit Health Canada's yellow fever resource center.                                                                                            

  6. Bank Statement. Copy of the applicant's most recent bank statement for the last three months. The statement must clearly show the applicant's name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement.                            

  7. Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations (Applicant's name must be on Hotel Reservation).                                                                                       

  8. Personal Invitation. If visiting friends or family, you must provide a letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, the purpose and duration of the visit, and confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature, and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Brazil ie. a copy of their Brazil passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Brazil, copies of their Brazil residence permit and their national passport's information pages.                                                                                                                 

  9. Conference or Seminar. If attending a conference or seminar, a letter of invitation from the organization in Brazil which is hosting the event.                                          

  10. Confirmed flight itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary. The flight or itinerary must be booked or reserved, with a valid confirmation number, and listing the applicant as the traveler in question.

Business Visa requirements: ​

  7. Business Letter. A business letter from the sending company in Canada. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Embassy of Brazil, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above).

  8. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:                                                                                Specify the type and desired validity of the visa (ie. a one-year multiple-entry business visa).                         • Guarantee sufficient funds for travel.                                                                                                         • Briefly introduce the applicant (specify employment status/position held in the company by the applicant).       • Specify the dates of entry and departure.                                                                                                  • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Brazil.                                                                                                                                                                     

  9. Business invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Brazil must be written in Portuguese. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Brazil", and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The letter should state:             • The job description and job position of the contact person in Brazil.                       • A description of the intended activities of the applicant in Brazil (sales, purchases, coordination, auditing, etc).                                                                                   

  10. Confirmed flight itinerary. Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary. The flight or itinerary must be booked or reserved, with a valid confirmation number, and listing the applicant as the traveler in question.
